Mike Lewis: Profile

Mike Lewis has now retired after a career spanning five decades in and around the computer industry. Some career highlights:

• Technical journalist, editor and translator, writing for newspapers and technical publications in the UK and USA. He has written over one thousand articles and has written and collaborated on several books.
• Mainframe systems analyst and programmer, working in Finland, the Netherlands, the Far East and the UK.
• Software developer and technical trainer, latterly specialising in Visual FoxPro, Crystal Reports and SQL Server.

Personal details

Mike Lewis was born in London in 1945. He has lived in Edinburgh since 1987.

He is married with two grown-up daughters. His outside interests include local history, hill-walking and cycling.
